"Rather than offering a deterministic experience, digital worlds represent the possibility of creating an experience of the moment. Dynamically generated, they are characterized by evolving textures that reveal a new logic." - Digital Mantras, Steven R. Holtzman

Virtual vs. Reality. Most artefacts are simply errors, and of little interest to anyone except to the computer programmer whose job it is to correct them. However, as an idea the artefact offers intriguing possibilities. Deliberate accentuation of errors in a simulation may be used to explore the way we perceive simulated realities. Reality must be stylised and abstracted to become digital. Things change - some elements are lost, others exaggerated, or distorted. Through deliberate effort or by accident, new methods of representation are discovered. New realities are formed.
